With the growing number of T20 leagues, one more league will be kicking off this month. It’s the Lanka Premier League, the official T20 league of Sri Lanka. The fourth edition of the LPL will commence on 30th July 2023.

A total of five teams will participate in the LPL 2023. Jaffna Kings, Dambulla Aura, Colombo Strikers, Galle Titans, and B-Love Kandy, are the five teams that will contest for the LPL 2023 trophy.

The LPL 2023 will have a total of 24 matches and will span a month. R Premadasa Stadium and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium will host the matches of the LPL 2023, with R Premadasa Stadium hosting the playoffs and the final.

The squads of the teams contesting in the LPL 2023 have been announced. Here is some vital information regarding the squads of the five participating teams:

Jaffna Kings

The defending champions of the LPL, Jaffna Kings will defend their title this time. With Thisara Perera leading the side, the Kings are indeed a stronger side. David Miller, Maheesh Theekshana, Charith Asalanka, Shoaib Malik, and Chris Lynn are the key players that will take the Kings forward in the LPL 2023.

B-Love Kandy

Wanindu Hasaranga, the rising star of Sri Lanka will captain the B-Love Kandy. With the likes of Mohammad Harris, Suresh Raina, Angelo Mathews, Fakhar Zaman, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, and Dusmantha Chameera, the Kandy team will be the most competitive one in the LPL 2023.

Colombo Strikers

The Pakistan great, Babar Azam will captain the Colombo Strikers in the LPL 2023. Naseem Shah, Pathum Nissanka, Matheesha Pathirana, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Chamika Karunaratne will be the key players for the team this season.

Dambulla Aura

There is no information on who will lead the Dambulla Aura in the LPL 2023. Mathew Wade, Lungi Ngidi, Noor Ahmed, Kusal Mendis, and Dhananjaya De Silva will carry the team this season. The team looks strong and will give a tough fight to the other opponents.

Galle Titans

Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the fiery batter will lead the Galle Titans in the LPL 2023. With Players like Akila Dhananjaya, Shakib Al Hasan, Ben Cutting, Tim Siefert, and Tabraiz Shamsi, he will have no issues in leading the team to success.

All the teams look competitive and strong in the LPL 2023. The tournament will indeed be an exciting one to watch. With players from all over the world, fans will be able to cheer their favorite players and teams.
