(1) Yash Dayal

The left-arm seamer is one of the biggest flops in IPL 2023. He was bought by the Gujarat Titans for a whopping INR 3.20 crores. But he hasn’t lived up to the team’s expectations.

In 4 matches, he only took one wicket, and his numbers at not very good when it comes to average, strike rate, and economy.

(2) Ambati Rayudu

Rayudu has been one of the biggest IPL flops this year. He only managed to score 122 runs in 13 matches with an average of 15.25 and a strike rate of 127.08.

(3) Ravindra Jadeja

He is one of the main players in CSK. There are lots of expectations from him by the franchise. But he becomes one of the biggest flops in IPL 2023.

With the bat, he only scored 133 runs with an average of 19 and a strike rate of 128. On the bowling front, he has done decently, taking 16 wickets.

(4) Sam Curran

He becomes the most expensive player in IPL history when PBKS bought him for a whopping INR 18.25 crores.  But the high price tag also gives you the pressure of performing as well.

The Englishmen only took 10 wickets in 14 games with an average of 49. And his economy (10.22) is also on the higher side.

 (5) Matt Short

The Australian hasn’t played as per his reputation. He only scored 117 runs in 6 innings with the highest score of 36 in IPL 2023. He is one of the biggest IPL flops this season for Punjab.

(6) Sunil Narine

The West Indian has the reputation of a mystery spinner. And so many batters have struggled against him.

But this year in IPL 2023, he only managed to take 9 wickets with an average of almost 40.

(7) Avesh Khan

At one stage, he was one of the main bowlers when he used to play for DC. But he hasn’t done well in the LSG jersey.

In 9 matches, he only took 8 wickets with an average of 35.38 and a strike rate of 21.75. He is also expensive in terms of the economy; being 9.76.

(8) Prithvi Shaw

After a few games, he was dropped in IPL 2023 because of his poor performance. He only scored 101 runs in 7 games, and that too his 54 runs came in the last game when he was brought back into the team. He is one of the biggest flops in IPL 2023.

(9) Harry Brook

Other than his hundred against KKR in IPL 2023, he only managed to score 90 runs in 9 innings. Harry Brook was been a revelation in the international circuit. But hasn’t replicated his performances in IPL 2023. He becomes one of the biggest IPL flops this year.

(10) Riyan Parag

The RR franchise has been carrying him for quite a few years now. They used him as a finisher but he hasn’t played that role well enough. In the last game against PBKS as well, he hit two sixes but then missed a few balls and got out. He should have finished that game for the team.

(11) Rohit Sharma

It’s been a while since we saw Rohit Sharma firing in IPL. Rohit Sharma only scored 257 runs in IPL 2023 with an average of 19.77 and a strike rate of 131.12. He only managed to score one fifty and becomes of the biggest IPL flops this year.

(12) Dinesh Karthik

DK has been one of the IPL flops this year. He was the best finisher last year for RCB. And on that basis, he was brought back into the Indian team as well for that same role. But this year, he hasn’t lived up to the franchise’s expectations.

So these are the 12 IPL flops we have picked this year. We haven’t considered players who haven’t played many games. Because the sample size is too small.
